Enjoying a beautiful seaside position on the Baltic Sea Coast, Gdynia is the sunniest city in Poland, with 1671 hours of sunshine yearly.
Gdynia offers pleasant shopping areas from prestigious boutiques to inexpensive hypermarkets.
The main street of Gdynia and the best shopping area, with shops, boutiques, bars and cafes, is the Swietojanska street.
It is a beautiful pedestrian promenade where in summer you will enjoy many cultural events.
Bautiful, sandy beaches invite tourists to relax and enjoy sunbathing.
The largest beach of Gdynia is close to the city center. The other ones are in Orlowo, Redlowo, Oksywie, or Babie Doly.
Tourists will find here clean air rich in iodine and filled with the scent of pine resin.
Within a city there is the one of Poland's oldest nature reserves - Kepa Redlowska.
The Seaside Boulevard is excellent walking, jogging, and biking rout.
Gdynia is mostly known for its port that is the gateway to Poland, modern shipyards, good roads and modern public transport.
With modern marina, close to the city center, Gdynia offers excellent yachting, sailing and racing conditions.
In Gdynia's restaurants you will savor traditional Polish as well as exotic cuisine.
But the best is to try Baltic fishes freshly grilled or smoked served from a fishermen's trawler at Skwer Kosciuszki or from the smokehouse at Orlowo.
