Positive aspects:
Excelent position. Helpful staff. Good outside appearance. Excelent breakfast table and restaurant service. Comfortable rooms. Ready acceptance by the manager of shortcomings and consequent price reduction.
Negative aspects:
Many amenities (sweeming pool, hotel shops, direct access to the beach) not available during my stay. Dinner-time food preparation too exotic for my taste. Dinner-time menue not sufficiently varied. No shoe polish facilities. Lack of hotel parking for hotel guests and their visitors. Too many and too obvious security men in and around hotel, creating an atmosphere of danger. No English (as opposed to merely English language) TV channel available on television. 		My rating:

Positive aspects:
What I liked most at the Grand Hotel Sopot is the big size of its traditional rooms opening to the seaside.
Negative aspects:
As soon as we opened the window of our room, we had to listen to the music from the beach.		 My rating:

Positive aspects:
We enjoyed the position of the hotel relative to the beach and town amenities, the ambience of the decor both outside and inside which is refreshing compared to the new modern hotels. The service, staff and food were excellent and the rooms very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The price of rooms are reasonable considering the above positive aspects. We will always try to stay at the hotel when visiting Sopot. In fact we understand the hotel is under renovation at the moment and would like to know when it will reopen as we plan to visit Sopot end July / start August, if the reader could reply as to when the hotel reopens I would be grateful.

great location, wonderful beds, great bathroom, great LCD TV, friendly and helpful staff, free use of computer terminals, free parking
Negative aspects:
cocktail lounge was very expensive. I reserved two rooms, one was on the second floor with a balcony and partial ocean view, the other was on the ground floor overlooking the parking lot !! Same price for each, but not the same quality. Beach access was cumbersome with only one gate.		 My rating:

Positive aspects:
Beautiful position and views and the beach was wonderful. The hotel staff were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant. The decor of the hotel is excellent and the rooms very well appointed and comfortable.
Negative aspects:
The room was very hot at night (too hot to sleep properly) and the air conditioning did not appear to be working.		 My rating:
